Diversity

Diversity leadership means recognizing and respecting cultural differences and adapting strategies and processes that work for all group members. It is embracing new ideas and experiences and learning from people with whom you don’t share a culture. It means being open to various types of problem-solving and thought processes. Diversity leadership brings a deeper level of understanding – of your workforce, your customer base, and yourself.

Equity

Leading cultural equity in an organization means to explicitly value the unique and collective cultures of diverse workers and acknowledge the barriers they face in all aspects of their personal, professional, and academic environments. A leader who champions cultural equity seeks to mitigate these barriers through self-education, equitable workplace policies, and resource allocation efforts.

Inclusion

An Inclusive Leader demonstrates humility and the ability to cultivate individual team member growth by creating opportunities for them to contribute. Leaders who champion Inclusion are curious about others' experiences in the workplace. They consult with people outside their own circle. And they purposefully seek others' perspectives. All of this requires a humble and open leadership style.

Belonging

A Leader who champions Belonging understands the importance of employee engagement and its benefit to the workforce and the organization as a whole. A strong sense of belonging encourages employees to excel in their roles and connect with the company. Leading for Belonging means that you foster a sense of security and support so that every team member feels accepted, included, and valued.
